The short version

Your photos and voices are used for one thing only: making your video. We never use them for anything else, never sell them and never use them to train anything. They are deleted as soon as your video is delivered.

What we collect

• The photos and voice clips you upload, and the names and ideas you type in.
• Your email address, to send you updates about this order.
• Your answers to the permission and age questions, the wording version you saw, the time, your IP address and browser type - kept as a record of what was confirmed.
• Payment details are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number.

Before you pay

While you fill in the order form, your photos and clips are stored only in your own browser on your device. Nothing is sent to us until your card is authorised. Unpaid drafts clear themselves after 48 hours, or when you press "Clear my files".

Who processes your files

Your photos are turned into clay figures on our own computer. They are not sent to any image-generation service.

To make and deliver your video, these services process what they need under their own terms, which we don't control:

• ByteDance's Seedance video model, provided by BytePlus (Singapore) - animates the clay figures into your fight. It receives the clay figures and any voice clips, not your photos.
• Cloudflare - hosts this site and stores your files privately in the EU until we collect them.
• Stripe - handles payments.
• Resend - sends order emails.

Some of these providers are outside the UK. Where they are, the transfer is protected by [the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / adequacy regulations - confirm per provider].

How long we keep things

• Photos and voice clips: deleted as soon as your video is delivered, or when we decline the order. If an order is never processed, they're deleted automatically within 14 days.
• Your finished video: available to you for 30 days, then deleted. If you opted in to showcasing, we keep that video for as long as it's shown.
• Your email and order record: deleted after 90 days.
• Payment and order records needed for tax: kept for 6 years, as the law requires. These contain no photos, voices or videos.

Why we're allowed to use it

To make and deliver the video you asked for (contract). To keep a record of permissions and prevent misuse (legitimate interests). To show your video publicly only if you opted in (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@deathmatch.cc. If someone appears in a video without agreeing, they can contact us too and we'll remove it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The order form stores your draft in your browser only so you don't lose it; this is strictly necessary for the service you asked for.
